British Airways has always done its best to tell customers about any changes made to their flights, usually by telephone.
Now that so many customers are accessible by email and SMS messaging it has become possible to develop an automated system which will inform them more quickly and reliably.
E-mail and SMS messaging are particularly useful when you are travelling, provided that you check your accounts regularly.
The message you receive will tell you if you need to take any further action as a result of receiving notification of changes. The changes will be clearly explained in the email or SMS and if any further explanation or action is required, the message you receive will tell you what action to take. If you need to contact British Airways, full contact details are provided on the email.
BA also require Advance passenger information, which can be added on Manage My Booking
